Canada has 13 large areas of land (10 Provinces and 3 Territories) and each city in Canada belongs to one of these 13 areas of land. The city of Vancouver is part of the Province of British Columbia.

Vancouver has had different names in the past but it was finally decided it should be named after Captain George Vancouver.

Canada Day is the National Day of Canada and it is celebrated on July 1.

- Stanley Park

- The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
- Granville Island
- Gastown and the Steam Clock
- Grouse Mountain for skiing. If you have time for a day trip, consider going to Whistler Mountain for skiing also.
